The translation “The Moon and the Stars” by Alisha
Fearfully, at the breath of dawn,
the trembling stars spoke to the moon.
The scenes in the sky remain unchanged.
Ceaselessly gleaming and gleaming, we, too, have wearied.
From dawn until dusk, our task is to keep moving,
moving, moving, forever moving.
Everything in this world is tormented by impatience.
Nowhere to be found is the illusion called peace.
Burdened by hardships, none spared
be they stars, stones, trees, or mankind.
But will this journey ever end?
Will the destination ever be found?
The moon replied, “O my companions!
you who harvest the fields of darkness,
It is motion that gives life to the world,
such is the ancient custom of this land.
Untamed runs the steed of time,
bearing strike upon strike by the lash of desire.
Unsuited is a halt on this path,
for lies the hour of death veiled in stillness.
Prevailed who kept moving forward,
those who stopped were crushed underfoot.
In the destination of the journey lies beauty.
Love is the beginning, grace is the end.

چاند اور تارے
علامہ محمد اقبال-
ڈرتے ڈرتے دم سحر سے
تارے کہنے لگے قمر سے
نظارے رہے وہی فلک پر
ہم تھک بھی گئے چمک چمک کر
کام اپنا ہے صبح و شام چلنا
چلنا چلنا ، مدام چلنا
بے تاب ہے اس جہاں کی ہر شے
کہتے ہيں جسے سکوں، نہيں ہے
رہتے ہيں ستم کش سفر سب
تارے، انساں، شجر، حجر سب
ہوگا کبھی ختم يہ سفر کيا
منزل کبھی آئے گی نظر کيا
کہنے لگا چاند ، ہم نشينو
اے مزرع شب کے خوشہ چينو
جنبش سے ہے زندگی جہاں کی
يہ رسم قديم ہے يہاں کی
ہے دوڑتا اشہب زمانہ
کھا کھا کے طلب کا تازيانہ
اس راہ ميں مقام بے محل ہے
پوشيدہ قرار ميں اجل ہے
چلنے والے نکل گئے ہيں
جو ٹھہرے ذرا، کچل گئے ہيں
انجام ہے اس خرام کا حسن
